The U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the first-ever “one-on-one” prescription drug for erectile dysfunction (ED), Cialis Together (the generic name for Viagra), for use only in men with a diagnosis of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). This first-in-class ED drug was approved for use in men with ED that has not been fully resolved by another, brand-name drug. The drug’s ability to treat ED is the same as that of other ED drugs, including Viagra and Cialis.
The FDA approved the drug in late 2003 and now has approved it in more than 20 states.
Viagra, manufactured by Pfizer and known as sildenafil, is the generic name for Viagra. Although the FDA approved Viagra for ED, it is not a generic. Instead, it is a brand-name drug made by Pfizer, which has produced a generic version of the drug. This version is marketed under the name Cialis, but it has also been approved for use in men with ED.
Cialis has the FDA’s approval for treating the condition of ED, and it is available to buy online, over-the-counter, or through a prescription. Cialis Together is currently available only as an oral tablet, which can be taken with or without food. The active ingredient in Cialis is sildenafil, which is the same ingredient that was once present in Viagra.
The drug’s effects are similar to those of Viagra, and Viagra has fewer side effects than Cialis. It also has the same chemical structure as Viagra, which is not found in Cialis.
Viagra is available by prescription only, and it must be taken in a dose and schedule that is consistently greater than the recommended starting dose. Cialis is not approved for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), which is caused by high blood pressure.
Cialis is a prescription drug, and it is only available to men who have ED. In the U. S., men who have ED should be advised to have sex with their doctor, as the effects of the medication may be more likely to occur if they do not take the medication as directed.
The FDA recommends that men who have ED be advised that they should not take Cialis if they have:
If any of these conditions are treated, it can be shown that Cialis can help. Cialis has been shown to have the same effect as Viagra in treating erectile dysfunction. In fact, more studies are needed to confirm that Cialis is a safe and effective treatment for ED.
The FDA has not approved Cialis Together for the treatment of PAH. Cialis and other other drugs that are approved for the treatment of ED have also not been approved for use in the treatment of PAH. However, some other medications, such as nitrates and certain antibiotics, may be taken to treat PAH.
Although there is no evidence that Cialis works for ED, some men may be able to safely and effectively treat PAH.
This drug is not for use by women, and it has been suggested that women should not take Cialis for sexual arousal because it may cause birth defects. Women who are taking Cialis should have a discussion with their doctor about their risk for birth defects, and the drug may be taken if the woman is unable to get pregnant.
